CALL FOR NOMINATION OF DIRECTORS
Community First Credit Union Limited is a full service financial cooperative with three branches in the cities of Sault Ste Marie and Timmins. The Board of Directors is accountable to the members of Community First Credit Union Limited to provide strategic direction and oversight of business operations. The decisions of the Board of Directors directly influence the way Community First serves our members and the community.
Directors are elected by the membership. They attend regular monthly Board meetings and other Board committee meetings as required. Further details on the responsibilities of Directors can be found in the Candidate’s Package.
Available Director Positions
There will be 5 three-year term positions up for election at this year’s Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010.
Members with an interest in running are asked to call Rose Gioia, Executive Assistant at 705-942-1784 or toll free at 1-866-942-2328 to obtain a Candidate’s Package which will provide detailed instructions and support materials for submitting nomination.
Completed nominations must be addressed to the Nominating Committee, 289 Bay Street, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 1W7 no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010.
Those individuals whose names will be presented as nominees by the Nominating Committee will have their information made available to the membership. As per By-Law No. 1, Article 7, Section 7.09, there will be no nominations from the floor at the Annual General Meeting.
